A neighbour with turkish roots said “We are migrants, too, but we aren’t like them" to the debate if refugees moving to our neighbourhood or not. Everyone here is acting like "We want to help the refugees, but please don’t let them live here". It’s not like there are many alternatives and the refugees have to live somewhere. Especially since they become more and more. But everywhere the people say the same: “Refugees yes, but not close to us.” Not just in my neighbourhood. Anyway the city has decided, that refugees will live in this neighbourhood. Hopefully our neighbours will understand that there isn’t an alternative.

Protesters from across St Louis turned up and turned out for the first St Louis County Council Meeting since Mike Brown’s Death. (Part I)

The St Louis County Council wasn’t as bad as Ferguson’s Council, but still very few answers and virtually no accountability from the folks who unleashed unholy hell on the residents of Ferguson, following Brown’s murder. #staywoke #farfromover

Anonym asked:

lesbianvenom answered:

Yeah, you support them all the way.. We’ll most of the way.. Well some of the way.. Clearly not as far as marriage.. Cause marriage ain’t for gays.. Or something

You hear so many of these people say, “I have a lot of gay friends but don’t believe in same sex marriage”, but you never hear gay people say “I’ve lots of friends who think it should be illegal for me to marry the person I love”.

So, here’s a PSA for everyone who is against marriage equality, but thinks they have gay friends. You probably don’t. What you have are gay acquaintances who have learned to quietly put up with your bullshit because it’s the path of least resistance and they just don’t have the energy to “My Fair Lady” your ass into being a decent human being.
